A practical approach

Good conversations start with the right questions.

Whether the project starts with a network, a clinical environment, a government requirement, or electrical systems, these questions help bring the work into focus.

See how it works
Understand the environment first.Start with the people, spaces, and systems the project needs to support.

An office, a clinical space, and a public facility bring different questions. Begin with how the environment is used, what needs to change, and the constraints the team will need to work around.

A useful starting point: what is working today, and what needs to work differently?

Keep the right expertise close to the work.Choose a starting team that understands the main requirement.

The Group brings four areas of focus into view. Follow the primary need to the relevant company, then describe the related systems and stakeholders that may need to be part of the conversation.

A useful starting point: which discipline leads the project, and which others touch it?

Make the next step clear.Turn a broad technology question into a specific conversation.

A short description of the location, current systems, timing, and people involved helps the specialist team understand the need. You do not need a finished specification to begin that conversation.

A useful starting point: what information or decision would help the project move forward?
